Memorial Day is a time to observe the men and women who have given their lives fighting for our freedom. I think this is an excellent time to support another fighter, Army Reserve Officer Boyd Melson, who is running for U.S. Congress District 11, which represents all of Staten Island and South Brooklyn. He has literally fought for causes for friends and charities as a Middleweight champion boxer, donating more than $400,000 in winnings to charitable causes. The West Point graduate is now fighting to get on the ballot for 2018, representing us as an Army man and a Democrat. Follow Boyd Melson on Twitter to keep tabs on how you can help make that happen.
